Missed opportunity or respectful distance? At dinner with a group of good friends. Robert Duvall, the iconic actor, and his wife are sitting in a booth enjoying dinner in our restaurant. I walked by, eye contact, and a nod. End of story but it was pretty cool.

Traveling Musicians

Ok, I am all for supporting the arts and artists and I understand the need to protect valuable instruments. But a guy just boarded my flight with a large hard guitar case, taking up an entire bin and a large carryon, taking up another half bin. Before boarding the gate agent announced twice that it is a full flight and limited bin space. This guy is a bit of a prima Dona in my book. He should have checked his bag at least.

Acts of Kindness

Random act of kindness. I try to tip when and where appropriate. Boarding a flight, the guy in front of me noticed a a delta team member walk back up the skybridge with an empty wheelchair after delivering an elderly lady to her seat. He asked the skycap if she tipped him? No. This guy slipped him a couple bucks. Classy. I thanked him and I learned something. ;)
